M&A’s staff is integrally involved in supporting association goals and activities related to legislation and the regulatory process on behalf of clients who require these services. Our staff members can help clients write legislation and work with lawmakers to pass state legislation. For some clients, we organize lobby day events at the state capitol; develop an emergency alert process; provide grassroots advocacy and training; coordinate grassroots involvement with state elected officials, regulators, and congressional members; and keep members apprised of issues of importance.
We coordinate and collaborate with contract lobbyists to address issues affecting a client’s industry or profession, or monitor and report on legislative and regulatory matters for clients depending on the needs and resources of each organization. We study, analyze, research, and manage and facilitate the communication of legislative and regulatory issues between lobbyists, policymakers, association decision makers, and members.
Our experience includes managing and administrating highly successful political action committees for clients. Our staff can meet with federal and state lawmakers and regulators as needed to advocate on behalf of members and can serve as liaisons with agencies, government, coalitions, allied organizations, and other groups to address shared concerns and opportunities regarding legislative and regulatory issues.
